With the new year offering a fresh start, weight loss and healthy living may be two prominent items on your resolution list. If this is the case, there is much you can do to work towards your goals directly from your apartment. Although a gym is an ideal location to get a workout, it is quite possible you don’t want to leave your home due to the cold weather. That being said, here are a few ways to exercise in your Rowlett apartment.

Body Weight Exercise

When it comes to working out, you don’t always need all that fancy equipment; simply using your own body as a tool can help build strength, endurance, and burn calories. By implementing circuit training at home, you can keep your heart rate up, burning more calories. So, choose some exercises to do: jumping jacks, burpees, mountain climbers, etc., decide how long you want to do each for, and then choose how many times you want to repeat it.

Exercise Videos

The internet is a wonderful tool for finding helpful videos! Head on over to youtube and find an exercise that appeals to you. Whether you consider yourself a beginner or a pro, there is sure to be something for everyone.

Fitness Apps

Open up your app store and search “fitness app,” many will appear, and quite a few for free. Find one that best suits your particular needs whether it be one that provides you with inspiration, routine, or even tracking. Because you most likely carry your phone with you at all times, the app will always be with you, even when you are away from home.

If you own a gaming console, you can turn your workout into a game! There are many games out there such as Just Dance, Wii Fitness etc. that can give you a great workout while having fun.

So, if the winter season prevents you from going outdoors, but you absolutely want to get some fitness in, try one of our aforementioned at-home workouts. Which one is your favorite? Let us know in the comments below.
